Hamzaini Abdul Hamid

Hamzaini Abdul Hamid is a Professor in Radiology,Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He is currently practicing as a senior consultant in Radiology, Faculty of Medicine UKM. He completed his medical degree from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1995 and obtained his Master of Medicine (Radiology) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2004. He always has soft spot in Paediatric since his undergraduate year, hence further his training in Fellowship in Paediatric Imaging at Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids), Toronto, Canada in 2009-2010. After completed his fellowship and return to Malaysia, he has been actively involved in Paediatric Imaging including sclerotherapy of slow flow vascular malformation in Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz and Hospital Pakar Kanak-kanak UKM until now. He was introduced to sclerotherapy procedure by his mentor Professor Zulfiqar Mohd Annuar since his MMED Radiology program. He has been invited to talk on in Paediatric Imaging and Intervention for slow flow vascular malformation locally as well as South East Asia (In Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines) and Asia Pacific region. He is currently the Secretary General for Asian Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology for 2022-till now. He has been appointed recently as Deputy Director for Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz.
