Sundeep Punamiya Singapore

Dr. Sundeep Punamiya is a Senior Consultant Radiologist at the National University Hospital, Singapore, with over 30 years of experience in interventional radiology. He completed his medical and specialist training in Mumbai, India, and has held leadership roles as Head of Interventional Radiology at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. His clinical expertise focuses on hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal interventions, including portal hypertension, Budd-Chiari syndrome, biliary disease, and gastrointestinal bleeding. He was among the first in Asia to perform TIPS and has introduced several advanced interventional techniques to Singapore, including prostate artery embolisation, thoracic duct embolisation, endobiliary ablation, percutaneous cholangioscopy, and complex TIPS procedures. An internationally recognized speaker and educator, Dr. Punamiya has delivered more than 250 lectures, workshops, and live case demonstrations worldwide, and has authored over 100 scientific publications and book chapters. He has led interventional radiology fellowship training programs for more than two decades and was awarded Fellowship of the Society of Interventional Radiology in 2015.
